Mythbuntu,是一套基于">Ubuntu的面向媒体中心电脑的发行版. Mythbuntu=MythTV++Ubuntu,MythTV是其中关键的软件包,用于实现媒体中心等功能.
它没有包含一些不必要的程序，如OpenOffice, Evolution, and a full Gnome 这个版本的Mythbuntu基于最新的Ubuntu 7.10,但是桌面环境改成了Xfce,集成了网络管理器,使用了ubuntu-mythtv-frontend,加入了新的mythbuntu-control-centre等等.
Mythbuntu是一份基于Ubuntu的发行，它是一张自启动运行光盘，着眼于构建一份单独的MythTV系统，这与KnoppMyth或 Mythdora类似。它可以被用于安装一份独立的前端或后端或组合机器。Mythbuntu采用Xfce作为缺省桌面，它提供一份图形化的控制中心来配置系统。
