Before You Ask

Before asking a technical question by e-mail, or in a newsgroup, or on a website chat board, do the following:

1. Try to find an answer by searching the archives of the forum you plan to post to.
2. Try to find an answer by searching the Web.
3. Try to find an answer by reading the manual.
4. Try to find an answer by reading a FAQ.
5. Try to find an answer by inspection or experimentation.
6. Try to find an answer by asking a skilled friend.
7. If you're a programmer, try to find an answer by reading the source code.

在你通过电子邮件、新闻组（老外用的东东，天朝以内基本没听过）或者网站公告板上咨询问题时，请先执行以下操作步骤：

1.尽可能的在你打算发帖子的网站中搜索答案，很可能你今天的问题就是别人昨天的问题。（我的经验告诉我，90%的问题都可以这么解决）

2.通过网络搜索问题的答案（一般是用搜索引擎，技术类的一般就是google了）。

3. 通过用户手册查找答案。（这就是指官网发布的用户说明书）

4.通过阅读FAQ查找问题答案（FAQ frequently asked question）。

5.通过实验和观察得到问题答案

6.通过问一个有经验的朋友到的问题答案。

7. 如果你是一个程序员，可以通过阅读源代码查找问题答案。（这一步我现在用的还少，估计需要有一定代码量才可以）
